I need to source a fairly cheap high back booster seat with head and side impact protection for my son's school transport. I know the Nania seats and the Graco Junior Maxi are considered unsafe but I want to check what else I should be avoiding before I recommend a seat to the LA.

This is the next cheapest I can find in Mothercare. Does that score well?

TheJoie Trillo Group 2-3 Car Seat now been tested by which and is given a 79% overall rating which is just short of there best buy. It has come down in price and is on offer at Smyth toys. I have been searching for ages for a reasonable price hbb seat for my oldest. I joined which for £1 to get the reviews on the car seats I was looking at and the results on some of the other cheaper and even some of the higher priced ones were shocking. There are videos of some of them in the test process and the britax and gracio and even a maxi cosi options scared me. TheJoie Trillo Group 2-3 Car Seat is the best option that will not empty the bank account!!! Hope whoever reads this finds it helpful.

I have the JANE isofix high back. Bought it for £150 at Mothercare, £130 online elsewhere (we have 2).
Paid more for it as it will do our child until he is 135cm tall/12 years, whichever comes sooner. the head and side protection seems second to none but never seen an actual review for it. IMO, the best buy.
