ERF - Britax Max Fix vs. Hauck Varioguard

I'm actually considering the Britax Max Fix or Britax Max Way (cause it goes up to 25kg) or the Hauck Varioguard. They're all around £200. The Dualfix is nice but not for almost double the price. It's for my 9 month old who is getting big for his cabriofix, so I don't need one from birth. We have a small Peugeot 107 with Isofix. I would prefer an isofix base so that I know it's fixed properly but it's not a deal breaker. All the isofix seats only seem to go to 18kg.
Basically I have big baby, and a small car...and I want to have him rear facing as long as possible.

Anybody got experience with any of these models?

I'm looking at the Varioguard too. As I understand it, with isofix it goes up to 18kg/4 years rear facing, right? It seems a lot cheaper than other ERF seats.

Yes, with ERF seats ISOFIX only goes up to 18kgs. If you want 25kgs it has to be belt fitted. No experience with those models, mine is a Britax Multi Tech II, but I'd lean towards the Britax seats if they are all around a similar price. I think the Maxway is a really good price for a decent ERF seat.

The varioguard seems to only go up to 13kg belted.

We have the Max Way and I cannot imagine that it is less safe than isofix as it is so secure in the car - attached to both the front and rear seat. Also as you say it goes up to 25kg so means you can keep your DC rear facing for much longer. I also think it's a comfy seat - we have two Two Ways for holidays but DD couldn't get comfy at all to sleep in it.
If you don't need to be taking the seat in and out then is forget about isofix and go for belted to get as long as possible rear facing and I don't think you can go wrong with the Max Way
