Which Besafe? isofix or non isofix? Space requirements are different.

we use the rearfacing izi in a megane. i am sure it will be fine in the scenic. most cars have isofix these days (unless you got an old model). if is has isofix, then go for it. it is much safer than using the seatbelt, we love the seat. dd1 had it until 4.5 and now dd2 is using it!

We have 2 isofix x3's in the Scenic and it fits fabulously. The support foot misses the underfloor storage boxes but we have filled them with a polystyrene block just in case.

Cabriofix fits fine with the belt too.

Due to silly cash flow i carnt get my car yet now - BOOOO but im still thinking of getting that car (yayyy) so its good to know that the car seats would fit in, where did you get your polystyrene blocks if you dont mind me asking?

I wouldn't fill my storage box with polystyrene as it is not tested.

Phonebooks, Stryphor are nice options.

""if is has isofix, then go for it. it is much safer than using the seatbelt, we love the seat. dd1 had it until 4.5 and now dd2 is using it!""

Actually this is incorrect regarding rear facing seats and safety in crashes. The only benefit the isofix system has over seatbelt installations is the low occurance of incorrectly fitted seats. This has been shown through real life experience. A correctly installed belted ERF seat is just as safe as a ditto with isofix - especially if you let them touch the front seat or dash board.

The benefits that belted ERF seats have over isofix dittos is the higher weight limit as well as the taller seat shells. They are simply built to last longer and prolong ERF time in the car.

We have two Besafe Izi Combo Isofixes. We have fitted them into a 3 door Nissan Micra and still had room for a 5'10" passenger in the front. It's the smallest of the Isofix rear facers, or was when we bought it. It's a great seat and the customer service we have had of BeSafe has been amazing so I can highly recommend the seat.
