Is there a car seat for over 18kg that still has a 5 point harness?

I really dont know what's out there, but from 18kg, are you supposed to switch to a seat belt?
There's no way I could do that with DS

Also, his current seat, (think it's cabrio isofix) reclines a bit, are there any similar?

they don't test them because it costs money to test them, and if they've convinced the UK public that it's unnecessary and a highback booster is fine then there is no need to spend more money.
plus, like you say, it means people then buy the next seat rather than continuing to use the one they have

I had to buy the TWE a few months ago. Ds is now 3y2m and I am so glad I did it. He was in no way ready/old enough/mature enough to be in a high back booster. He likes the seat a lot - he thinks it looks like his sisters high back booster (as it is lower than his old seat) but it has the harness which puts my mind at rest. He is a big boy - people assume he is a year older than he is (very frustrating) but I am assuming it will take him up until age 5 ish.

It was pricey but very worth it (wish I had bought it at the start - but hey).

My only niggle is that when it is upright his head does the drool and flop thing when he falls asleep. His old seat was easy to recline but this one seems to need the adjustments done before it is strapped in.
