A rear-facing ISOFIX for Grandparents

Hello
I have a besafe izi combi 3 isofix installed in my car, but am looking for something a bit more 'portable' that my Mum and my MIL can share?

I feel that the besafe is a big and sturdy seat, but may not be so easy for grandparents to handle and install in their car.

I wondered if anyone has had this dilemma, I really don't want DS (10mo) to be be forward facing until he is much older.
Can anyone recommend a seat for me please?
Thanks

hi, i have a kiss car seat that the grannies can both put in their smaller cars and know how to put it in themselves, although it is probably one of the most expensive. was £300 when i got it, although it can be used from new born too. it is much heavier than my two way elite although does come apart into 2 bits so makes it a bit lighter.

could you not install a set of tether straps in each of their cars and then all they would have to do would be clip in the belt. it is easy to do-the tether straps are the hardest part.

:)

I also have a KISS and a besafe. my KISS was bought for exactly that reason- for granny and grandad to put in their car! I love it- it's straightforward for them to fit, and although about the same weight as the besafe when in one piece, they always move it / fit it in two pieces so is very light and easy for them. I'd definitely recommend it as a strong possible- if you want to try mine, I'm in devon, 10 mins from Exeter :) (although I'm not suggesting the TWE isn't great too- as I've heard lots of great things about that :) )

Hello thank you both for your replies. I'm up near Glasgow and we are lacking greatly in car seat places (that I can find anyway) with a good selection of these seats.
I am trying to find the 'easiest' and 'can't be fitted wrongly' seat for the GP's to make life easier.
CarSeatCrazy, thanks for your kind offer! I can see me taking a day trip to one of the English car seat centres and seeing what they can do for me!!! Also to google on these seats that you have both mentioned. Much thanks Smile

ps the KISS is also called the Akta Graco Duologic - have a look at this site: www.carseat.se/ This is where I got mine from :) Although it's in Sweden I can recommend their advice and service :)
