MDT today- would they tell me over the phone?

I had a biopsy done on 8/9/26, they booked in a follow up appointment for 6/10/26 but said it would likely be brought forward. That’s 4 weeks post biopsy, after being told it looked concerning and could be cancer.

I know my biopsy was being reviewed today at MDT, I was told I could chase tomorrow. Do you know if they would tell me benign over the phone? Do I have a right to know?

I just don’t want to be left hanging until 6/10, I’m going crazy, unless there is a good indication them not bringing it forward means mostly benign, I can’t do this for 2 more weeks.

Just to add, my relative has a benign issue that causes problems and so is often discussed at the MDT meetings. I wish you all the best, hopefully a good outcome for you.

My hospital wasnt allowed to give any news over the phone. I had to go in face to face to be given the news that there was nothing found in some polyps. She apologised for the trip I had to make bit that it was their policy.

Thanks all, I’m feeling reassured they weren’t looking to bring forward my apt but have kindly managed to do so a bit after I asked, so another week to know for sure but I’m feeling more optimistic than I did yesterday.

Yes, becks571 is absolutely right. I had a lump removed which was benign and this still got discussed at MDT. Sending lots of love and good thoughts biops 🌻

The GP added my letter to my app account today, I can now see it is a u4 and didn’t show up on the mammogram (this is what was found on the day) not sure what to make of that, but only 2 days to go now. Still hopeful the fact I wasn’t on a recall list is a good sign!
