Fatigue after immunotherapy

Just wondering if anyone has experience of prolonged fatigue following immunotherapy? My husband finished treatment eight months ago and the fatigue seems to be getting worse, not better. The consultant has run tests to see if there is anything else wrong (e.g. iron, thyroid) but there doesn't seem to be. It seems to be 'just' post treatment fatigue. I know it's like asking how long is a piece of string, and some people recover more slowly than others, but if anyone has any relevant thoughts I'd love to hear them.

Hypophysitis and adrenaline insufficiency can happen anytime after immunotherapy . Has he had his cortisol levels checked?
Also, Immuntherapy can cause inflamation in the heart, myocarditis and inflammation in the lungs, pneumonitis, both can cause shortness of breath and fatigue. It is irrelevant how long ago treatment was. If this is Immunotherapy related he should be given steroids. Side effects can happen anytime after treatment with Immunotherapy.

Thank you. These are really useful things to follow up on. Pretty sure they checked his cortisol but I'll ask at the next appointment.

If his symptoms are significantly worse since he was last seen I'd call their Acute Oncology Service for advice or try and get his clinic appt brought forward. If it's an immunotherapy side effect it won't get better by itself, it will need steroids

Thank you. We did discuss it so it’s being reviewed but I was just doing a bit of research myself!
