I had a neck MRI and this has come back on my results. Had phone call with dr who is send me for a chest scan but wasn’t really able to comment until results. I’m recovering from a hysterectomy and am trying not to worry too much but it’s difficult. Anyone shed some light?

Could be infection? My daughters lungs were described this way with pneumonia.

can you have an infection without symptoms? I had Covid in July but very mildly and no cough

Yes, you can have a lung infection without obvious symptoms. I’ve had pneumonia lots of times and several of them, I just had a vague rattle in the chest on a very deep breath, but I didn’t feel ill in any way.

But lung inflammation and scarring causes this. Have you ever smoked or vaped? Had a serious lung infection in the past? COVID definitely has been known to be a culprit. It could absolutely be lots of things other than cancer, unless you are concerned about metastasis from another site or you’re particularly at risk for lung cancer.

I social smoked about 30 years ago and have never vaped. Never remember having a chesty cough. Drs sending me for a CAT scan in a couple of weeks. I’m finding it hard not to worry
