Medical bracelet - IV port

I just had an infusion port fitted for chemotherapy IV infusion today, and the nurse gave me a bracelet (pic included) to help notify emergency medical workers about the port.

It’s quite large for my wrist and made me think of buying myself a metal one.

If you have one, or work in emergency services in the UK, what is the best way to write it on the bracelet so it’s clear but succinct? There are limits on the number of characters on bracelets so I’d like to make it as understandable as possible.

The one I got says “CT RATED INFUSION PORT”, but I wonder if that’s too long. Online, I see examples that say “IV PORT IN CHEST”, but not sure if that’s more of a US thing.

As a note, I know medical bracelets are also used by non-cancer patients, but thought I’d post this here as I’m a cancer patient. Also I’ve read online that emergency workers are trained to look through necklaces and bracelets for medical emergency info, but that this may not always happen.

I have a metal bracelet from Amazon with three words engraved, totalling 26 letters and 2 spaces over two lines, so you shouldn’t have a problem with the same wording as on your current bracelet.

@Mithrellas I have a Port - when it was fitted, a bracelet wasn't offered or discussed - to be honest I wouldn't bother.

They gave me a bracelet when I had my port. I never wore it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Another who doesn't wear their port bracelet. I have a card in my bag with details of my medication, treatment and my treatment centre contact number in case of an emergency.

I have the same bracelet, it's too small and I'm not a fan of pastel colours! I've never bothered, most medics out of the oncology ward won't use the port, and if I'm ever scanned whilst not concious, the port is, as the band says, safe anyway.
