Hi, I had a lumpectomy last year (breast cancer) and I’ve tried to get travel insurance today but everywhere I tried turned me down. I’m on Letrozole and will have regular mammograms but I don’t actually have cancer at the moment so I’m not sure why I can’t get insurance. Thank you

If it helps, there is a 'Travel Insurance' board over on the community forums part of the Macmillan website

I have a history of breast cancer and many other conditions. I've never had trouble getting insurance although it's very expensive ( not because of the BC).
Are you awaiting any tests for other conditions as that's a common reason for being refused.
Try big name companies like Aviva, All Clear,Stay sure.

I had a lumpectomy in October followed by radiotherapy and now I'm on Tamoxifen. I have annual travel insurance through the post office. I just updated my new medical history details online and they charge me an extra £90 for the year which pissed me off of course, but wasn't extortionate.
