Sorry to hear about your sister. What a horrible thing to have to go through at such a young age.

It's a very curable cancer. Survival rates are very good.

I'm sorry to hear about your sister. My niece was diagnosed at 14 and underwent chemo and radiotherapy. She's now in her late 20s and about to get married next year.
You'll be surprised at how supportive her school will be as well as some charities, in particular the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Look after yourself and your family💕

My son was diagnosed with stage 3 HL in 2021. He had just turned 21. His chemo was 4 months, at the end of which there was no lingering traces of cancer.

There will be hair loss, issues of fertility to consider but your sister should be given a cancer nurse to help her through every aspect of her diagnosis and treatment.

Teenage Cancer Trust are amazing.

It is scary to recieve a cancer diagnosis in such a young person but honestly, this will be in your sisters past this time next year.

Massive hugs to you my darling, it is so unfair and such a bloody shock.

All the very best to your sister xxx

So sorry to hear this. In the last few years I know of three people who have suffered this
One in their 70s and two in their late 20s- all have battled it and have no evidence of disease presently

Op, she will 100pc beat it. I was diagnosed with NHL in 2011. Six rounds of chemo saw it off. Unfortunately, last year, 12 years later it reoccured. It has gone again with 4 rounds of chemo. I am currently in recovery from a stem cell /bone marrow transplant too to prevent further reoccurence. My consultant said reoccurence is rare and incredibly rare 12 years on. I was told 12 years ago that it's the most treatable cancer and it is. Much love to your sister, you and your family.

My dh was diagnosed with it in 2000. We'd only just got married and it was a heck of a shock. He had chemo and radiotherapy and coped well with both. Before he started the treatment he had sperm frozen as we were told the chemo could effect his fertility (we later adopted). He also lost all his hair but it grew back exactly the same. 24 years and counting!

My nephew.. was 18.. he had chemo and radio.
He's 36 now .. married.. own business.. never come back.. fingers crossed. It's one of the most higher one of full recovery.
Wishing her well and sending healing thoughts.

Had non Hodgkin's age 12 (stage 4). 6 months of chemo. That was over 30 years ago!
Been well since and had children naturally with no fertility issues!
Very curable cancers if picked up in time.
