Lung cancer

My father has lung cancer. They have said it is an adenosine which has spread to local lymph nodes.
He is having immunotherapy chemo and hopefully surgery.
However, I saw on the notes that it was grade 3 poorly differentiated. Does this mean it is aggressive? I can't ask any questions as when I am with the consultant my dad is there and he wants to know as little as possible.
The consultant does seem hopeful but I know from been at an appointment with my aunt who had cancer that they always are. They just don't seem to be telling us much and I don't know why!

An adenocarcinoma i think you mean. The grading of the cancer isn't as important as the staging or the response to the first chunks of treatment. Of course it's very worrying, sounds like your dad has the right treatment planned though, and you can't really know what is going to happen until it's seen how he gets on with it. What is it you want to know? I always think prepare for the worst and hope for better. Good luck to you all (and if you have got a maggies centre near you use it)
