Does anyone have any experience?

Mum used it during her breast cancer chemotherapy, it helped her retain her hair which thinned but she didn't lose it.
It was uncomfortable and prolonged the time her treatment took but she thought it was worth it to keep her hair.

Yes, I used it for carboplatin and paclitaxel (did I reply to you on the main thread? I answered someone recently).

There's a calculator here that was about right for me scalpcoolingstudies.com/efficacy-calculator/ and a really friendly Paxman (the makers of the machine) FB group.

I had it on for about five hours each time, it made me cold, but it wasn't painful, and it was a bit of a faff disconnecting to go to the loo but I was pleased I did it too.

I chose not to. It prolongs the treatment which is gruelling enough and seldom works. I really didn't care enough about my hair. I actually felt under pressure from staff and family/ friends. As though it was expected that everyone should " make the effort". When I explained how I felt everyone was very supportive and I had no regrets.

Thanks

Plan has changed (again!) so it's not even an option now so that solves that dilemma
