Large breast lump.

I made an appointment with my GP last week after I noticed a lump in my breast. She saw me straight away and said she was very concerned. It's a 5.5cm lump with irregular boarders.

My appointment with the hospital is next week, I was put on the 2 week referral and they contacted me with 2 days. I have not been feeling well recently but put it down to the possible onset of memories. I've had a pain in my breast bone and arm for quite a while but just ignored it. I have also been feeling very tired lately.

Panic has suddenly come over me.

I found a large lump in my left breast a year ago. Dr took one look at it and even before examining me said I needed to be referred straight away. My appointment came through the next day and within 2 weeks was seen at the hospital.
It was honestly the worst 2 weeks of my life, but thankfully it turned out to be a cyst and it was drained there and then.
I had started HRT 6 months before and they believe it could have been caused by that.

@Ifulikepinacoladas I think that is exactly how I will feel next week. I am feeling unwell due to the stress at the moment , waiting is dreadful. I am so pleased that you don't need treatment.x

I found a large lump about a week ago. I have my appointment at the hospital tomorrow. I can't lie, I'm a little anxious. I hope all of you are are ok. Thanks for sharing your stories, it helps!

I found mine in October, golf ball sized. Waited a cycle to see if it was hormonal, it wasn't, so off to GP. In early November. 3 week wait for hospital review, mammogram and US said probably ok, but then when compared to previous imaging recalled for biopsy. Biopsy not done right, so repeat biopsy this week, results due on 18th. Fingers crossed it's not cancer.

Hope you don't mind asking how you got on. I'm in exactly the same boat with a large hard liump.
Have young kids and starting to panic a bit!

Hi, it was ok thank you. The consultant said straight away he thought it was a cyst. I had a mammogram and ultrasound which confirmed it and they drained it there and then. I've now been discharged.

My appointment is Thursday after a two week wait after finding a golf ball size lump 2 weeks ago. Do you mind me asking me what your lump felt like. Mine with quite firm ( but I wouldn't say hard)

I think I'll cope with almost anything except waiting!
