Anybody been to Greenacres, in Somerset?
It looks fab, we just booked a week at the beginning of August.
It will be our first time camping as a family (4 dc, 9,7,4,and 2) and no car!
Would love to hear of your experiences here, of anything we can do locally with no car (we are seasoned walkers, dc's dont mind a distance as long as it is safe).
Is camping without a car a nightmare?
Any advice - feeling a bit nervous now!
Obviously we can only take the basics - but what are they?

I don't know the site although it looks lovely but I did use to live in SOmerset so know where's worth a visit. your dc's are simialr ages to mine as well (10, 9, 6 and 2 LOL)

Glastonbury obviously nice albeit touristy; walk up the Tor or wander around the Abbey.
Cheddar is always a must as we stop at fortes forr an ince cream, and Wells beuatiful and nice to have lunch in teh Cathedral. On wet days, there's FLeet Air Arm- haven't been in years but DH's Uncle was fost Curator so a family link.

If you can walk to a nearby town or village it should be afirly easy to get a bus to all of these. Wookey Hole is also lovely for that age group.

Dh knows the area a bit more and thinks you might be able to get a bus from North Wootoon but site owners should be able to tell you more.

hAV e fun; the area is lovely just for a walk anyway, and you should love it.
