I was going to be all organised and make some mince stuff and freeze it; and maybe a curry. But I can't be arsed!

I'm popping to Sainsbos this evening, so what should I get? I'm thinking tinned stuff maybe? We have a cool box if that helps. What about that fresh stuffed pasta they do?

Any recommendations?

oh I was going to say frozen chilli or summat.

We like baked beans and hotdogs, or 'cowboy dinner' as ds calls it. It's a classic!

Those packets of dried pasta with sauce - cheesy or whatever. Just add loads of veg and some bacon or chorizo or something if you're a meat eater.

If you have a campfire; brie/cambenbert in wood box, white wine, bread. Drop of wine on brie, left in the in wooden brie box thing, wrap in tinfoil. place on fire. take of fire - dip in bread for fondue type feast whilst drinking wine.

I know its naff, but it is nice and very lazy, and to be honest the wine isn't necessary but is an excuse to drink some.

I'm after some inspiration as well please - going camping for a weeks festival thing so won't have much time to get out to a supermarket. Also have two picky preschoolers
No campfires allowed so only have a gas ring but will have a coolbox though - already have planned pasta, curry, chilli - any other ideas??

Honey how can you say wine isn't necesary? what a notion!

When away we normally note locality of nearest butcher and or fishmoneger, buyy whatever is freesh and grills well, and eat with salad and a nice loaf.

And wine, obviously

yep fresh pasta is ideal, couscous - no cooking required - add veg & jar pasta type sauce.
Eggy bread - a requirement.
Sausages, eggs cooked together in one pan.

Breakfasts - those individual cereal boxes are de rigeur for preschoolers - they also double up as emergency dry snacks.

Pasta, tin of ham, jar of carbonara sauce, tin of peas, fantastic!

Just planed are meals for our week camping in august. spag bol
chilli
pasta and sauce
a BBQ
pasta and pesto
cold meat new potatoes and Veg
We have a fridge and my dh will cook and freeze all the meals. We do it like this because we are going to a conference and their isn't much time. We also have two children to feed.

Getting a fridge has saved us a lot of money as we don't have to buy milk from site shops.

A friend raps her cool box in a space blanket to help keep it cool
