What's the best campsite you've ever been to with a toddler?

Ooh, my first post in the camping section - please be nice!

We have just bought a new caravan and are hoping to go away for a week or so during the summer over the next few years as well as a few long weekends here and there.

So just after some inspiration really. Not fussed about location.

Dd will be 15 months this summer- hopefully she will be walking and like most she needs a lot of entertainment.

Where are the best places you've taken your toddlers?

I like the caravan club site at cirencester - just don't park near the paly area - but use the play area as it is great but noisey!

You can walk in to cirencester form the site and also to the open air pool or the leisure center for a swim. Lots of children on the site usually and a baby bath on site which they give you a key for - so others don't use it.

We have been usuing the site since dd1 was a baby

we just went to the Manor Farm holiday centre in Charmouth in Dorset for the weekend. The people were really lovely - great little playground that my 4 yr old and 19mo couldn't get enough of and a heated outdoor swimming pool to boot!
The beach is a short walk and even shorter drive away and there are lots of jurassic era fossils to find on the beach.
We had a lovely stay.

We've just been to the campsite at Gullivers in Milton Keynes. It was fab for DS who was 4 as it was small enough that he could play on the site on his own, but next to the theme parks which were great.

A tip though - they do a special ticket for campers that runs for 48 hours from 4pm on the day of purchase, for 25 quid each, and that lets you go in everything. So you can have a couple of hours of the farm or Splash zone (like softplay with water, was fabulous), then two full days at the main, farm, dino world and Splash, which is v good value

Thank you for the suggestions so far- we are in the Midlands and would rather not travel to the far ends of the country (i.e. Cornwall/Scotland) but otherwise open minded.

Manor Farm sounds good. We've got a cottage booked in Dorset this year so will see if we can check it out while we're down there.

We love the Lake District too so that is another possibility.

Gullivers sounds good for in a few years time.
