Recommendations for a tent to put up by myself - Outwell?

I am looking at getting an Outwell tent - a Trout Lake or something similar. No bigger than 4 berth so not huge but I HAVE to be able to erect it by myself (with the 'help' of 4 yr old). Is it possible to do this? It's fine with my 3/4 berth dome tent but I have no idea about how outwells go up.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I am a seasoned camper so know roughly what to expect but all tents are different.

I have an Outwell Montana and can do it by mysel. It's a fiddle but possible. It is a 4 berth I think as well. Maybe sleep more though...?

We've got an Outwell Nevada M, which is easier with 2 but could (I think) be done with 1, it would just require a lot more walking round and about. It's synthetic, so very light to handle - but exactly the same design/layout as the Trout Lake 5. I'd love one of the proper canvas ones, but we a) can't justify the cost right now and b) they're a LOT heavier. One's on my wish list for if camping takes off

Just found a video of a guy pitching a Nevada by himself here.

I'd probably try and use the guy central above the front door first (and then find out there's a good reason why you should use the pair lower down), but I can't see why the method would be different with a Trout Lake unless the weight was an issue - it is nearly twice as heavy all in...

DH and I have found the method shown in the video on the Outwell website works well if there's 2 of you - but not sure you could do it so easily like that by yourself.

Tangle - do you find the design of the main door on the Nevada is a problem in wet weather. Just wondering as it seems like a design where rain would come in when you open it?

Ooo, thanks. This sounds encouraging & that video is very helpful. Thanks!

Based on our grand experience of one night in the garden in the rain , I think the best bet is to pitch with the side door with the porch in the lee and use that. Unless you have the front awning.... But yes, if you try and use the central main door in the rain, an awful lot of it comes in...
