Camsite recommendations for Gower, Wales?

We're after a no-frills sort of a campsite, although showers and loos are a must. And being able to have our own fire would be good too. We don't want any entertainment, bars etc - preferably no caravans. Any suggestions?

Ooh there was a fabulous one we stayed in but can't remember the name - will have a google and get back to you. Was on a path to a beach which was virtually private too - bliss

Not sure about fires though - it's right on the coast and you don't tend to be allowed fires because of the wind.

Thanks! Good point about fires. We can live without that though

we stayed at pitton cross - if you go to to far fields near the sea there aren't any caravans (well there weren't when we were there). There is a tiny shop selling basics and trinkets but that's it. It's lovely

Looks really nice - they are booked up though for the bank holiday weekend. But we'll definitely go another time.

Nicholastn Farm

nice clean showers, big fridges for cold stuff, lots of room, path through the woods, accross the dunes to the most beautiful beach on the planet.

Wow, yes looks nice too. I'll drop them an email. We have left it a bit late to book! I don't remember places being so busy last year ...

My favourites is Hillend campsite which is right on the beach at Llangennith. They have a static caravan site but no tourers. Little shop and a cafe on site.

You can't book in advance and it is a bit of a party site at weekends but saying that we've always stayed in the family field and noise is kept at a minimum after 11pm (they have regular patrols to make sure people adhere to this too.

Can't have fires though. The beach is beautiful and the pub in Llangennith does lovely food (I can personally recommend the thai curries )

We stayed here last year and it was very quiet and no-frills. It's within driving distance of some really nice beaches and Swansea for indoor entertainment if the weather is rubbish.

Both 3 Cliffs and Hillend are nice. Pub in Llangennith also does a fab rabbit curry.

Thank you so much for all the advice. Everywhere totally booked up, except for Eastern Slade so we're going there. Hope this lovely weather holds
