Does anyone know of any sites in North Norfolk or close by that allow real fires?
It would be for a tent and a VW Camper. Thanks

You'll be veryclose to Walsingham which is a shrine which attracts hundreds of pilgrims, the virgin Mary was supposed to have appeared there.

Norwich is the local city, has a lovely castle which is a fantastic museum, has 2 cathedrals too which are lovely to look in, loads of good muesums in Norwich including Bridewell Alley and Strangers Hall.

Cockley Cley has an inceni village which is a bit crappy but next door to Oxburgh Hall which is a lovely stately home, dp once got stuck in the priests hole there!

Blickling Hall is another stately hall, was the home of Anne Boleyn, definately worth a look.

The broads are also a nice trip out

Things to do in N Norfolk:
A ferry trip (from Morston) see the seals on Blakeney Point - google Bishops or Temples boats to see timetables
Walk in the pinewoods behind Wells beach - there is also a boating lake (canoes / rowing boats) crazy golf and trampolines next to the beach car park.
Felbrigg Hall
There is a fantastic site of an iron age fort in a field between Warham and Wighton (I think) - you would need to look at a larg scale ornance survey map to find it - it's a bit undiscovered
The Steam Organ museum at Thursford - has steam driven dance hall organs, traction enines and a few steam roundabouts
Gressenhall Roots Museum of Rural Life
Holkham beach - miles of wildness
Search for fossils on West Runton beach - a mammoth was discovered there a few years ago - visit the small museum in Cromer first to see what you're looking for!
Potter about in Blakeney, - buy a crab line and bucket from the Spar shop, bait from the fish shop or the caravan on the car park, and catch crabs from the quay.
Stop at the Birdwatching centre on the road between Cley and Salthouse - you can have a cup of tea and nice hime made cake while looking over the marsh through high powered telescopes - or let the kids use the webcam which is out on the marsh to identify avocets. At Easter you might hear the bittern boom at Cley or Salthouse marshes.
