Eurocamp in N Brittany - any recommendations

Hi!
I'm planning our summer holidays and contemplating a trip to Northern Britanny in August and tempted by Eurocamp. Anyone shed light on the various merits (or otherwise) of the different Eurocamp options there (especially Les Mouettes v Dol de Bretagene v Le Ranolien). Recommendations of similar companies also welcome as are top tips on child friendly beaches along that stretch welcome. We'll be holidaying with a cautious 5 year old and utterly manic three year old.

Dol de Bretagene - love this town and this campsite is lovely

sorry don't know about camping companies as don't use them

the above site has there own cabins for renting.

Check out Matthews Holidays as they are much cheaper than Eurocamp.

Thanks Ivykaty44 Was tempted by Dol De Bretagne - but beaches were a bit away but not undoable - do you kow anything about the coastline in that area?

pointydog - thanks I'll check them out

we stayed at dol with matthews. One day we drove to the coast - not sure if it was around cancale. It was a nice beach, little play area at the top, nice for swimming.

Not the best place if you like lots of beach days htough.

It was good for trips to St Malo, Mont St Michel. The kids loved playing on site so beaches weren't missed. (Plus the weather was a bit rubbish that year )

I've seen quite a lot of posts refering to the variable weather - so we know what we might be letting ourselves in for - although we've always been lucky on previous trips.

St Malo actually has a beach, though as said this is not a coast for beaches.

There is a lot to "do" in this area, I went with two girl friends and all our dc between 2-10 and we found lots of adventure parks (cheap at the time) and places to visit with dc.

I expect the prices are much much higher now.

chateau des ormes at dol is a large site with good swimming pools. we have been there twice i think. mont st michel is def worth a visit - is very popular though - one of top attractions in france. st malo nice. is a bit of a treck to beaches - i would say this is main negative - but not undoable. has a really good football pitch -but your kids prob bit young. dol is nice. la renolien we went to once and had appalling weather and 2 kids with chickenpox. pool complex good, seem to remember pitch sizes weren't always that great and some were near the complex. you can walk along the coast - very small beaches near site. can't remember mutch else - but we only went there once which is not good sign. reviews are on ukcampsites.co.uk

Happy holidays

Just saw this thread and was going to suggest Les Mouettes!
The beaches around Carantec are beautiful, quite Cornish really.
