does it take you to set up and take down your tent and the stuff in it?

It seemed to take us hours the first time and was a bit quicker the second time and other people round us just seemed to just start and then it was done.

Does anyone have any tips for packing to make things a bit quicker?

Take two mallets.

DH and I would sort our tent much more quickly if we had taken two.

And two of those peg puller outer thingies.

You're used to soggy ground though, aren't you? You proper camper, you.

If you had been on the ground we were last week you wouldn't have been able to use your foot. It was so hard we had bent tent pegs and the mallet broke . I had to trot down to the shop and get a new one.

No, on the Malvers. Top looked lovely, peg goes in a centimemetre and crunch!!

had a camp like in Kent. Luckily th ground was so cracked from dryness I inserted pegs down them but no amount of malleting would get the buggers in. In the past I've used 6 inch nails as pegs but they are really hard to get back out.
