Help please-sleeping and sterilising!

I'm going camping on sat with 10m ds and am pretty clueless....!
In bed at home he wears a long sleeved babygro, and then 1tog sleeping bag. How much more should he wear in a tent (assuming standard British summer continues!) Have no idea how much colder it is in the 'outside'!
Also, I'm doing cold sterilising, and have some of those tablets. It says bottles need to be immersed in a large plastic container-how would you get a bottle to stay immersed? Mine would just float up the the surface if I put them in liquid (they're the MAM ones so come apart everywhere) Would i just lay a plate or something over the top to keep everything down?!
Sorry if this is a ridiculous question-have been lying in bed every night wondering how you do it!!

As for sleeping stuff I'm going with tights and vest under babygro, using a fleecy babygro, then extra fleece blankets to take with us to add or take away depending on temperature.

I had this one and it had a plastic bit that you used to push the bottles down and keep them submerged. I'm sure a plate would work too.

At 10mth I didn't bother sterilising, just poured a bit of boiling water over the bottle teat to remove any milk powder residue.

The main thing with sleeping is to keep them off the ground (travel cot) or have a waterproof picnic blanket underneath to stop the damp coming up form the ground. And layers of blankets and sheets - I use a long sleeve s-shirt as well as usual PJs and and extra blanket over the top of normal bedding.

You really don't need to streilise bottles to that extent- just wash them in really hot soapy water and rinse in hot water- they will be fine. Leave them to dry on some paper towel on a clean surface.

For the night-wear I would take a few extra warm tops and some warm socks for him to wear in case it gets cold at night.

We're just back from a weekend camping with our DDs, aged 3 years and 12 weeks. DD1 wore a vest under her pyjamas and slept in an instant bed, which consisted of a Eurohike sleeping bad attached to an airbed. DD2 wore a vest, a sleepsuit, a fleecy pramsuit and slept in the cocoon from our Phil & Teds pushchair, which we put on my yoga mat for extra insulation. It did get much colder at night (we were in East Sussex, not up a mountain!) but both DDs slept much better than they do at home!

For sterilising, those bags Glitter suggested are great but at 10 months I would probably go for the boiling water technique.

I had a cake tupperware box and filled it to the top and put the lid on - the lid kept it all below the water.
