After literally months of research we are going for this one!
We haven't seen one up but did see the tigris. Have decided i want two pods but enough room for a double and single air bed in one!
For me , dp and 3 dcs!

Have bought most of the accessories so just need to wait for pay day to get tent!
Am v excited now

We have the Diablo 600 and have found it to be a very good tent, mostly. We find we have plenty of room (we are 4), especially as the massive porch means we don't need to have any clutter inside the living/sleeping areas. Once we were camping with others and it was raining heavily so we all ended up eating in our tent. Six adults, two children and two labradors were all seated comfortably (not the dogs obv!)and we had the table up as well, all in the central living space.

It has never leaked, has withstood some pretty severe weather and the SIG is fab, no draughts! (take a dustpan and brush though).

However, we have grown to hate putting the thing up, so are saving up for a different one!

We have a Diablo 600. There is a lack of headrooms in bedrooms and I agree that there is really only room for 2 people with heads at the door end in each pod. Having said that it is a great tent for long holidays with dodgy weather since there is so much space inside the living area which is snug and dry. We put the kitchen stuff in the porch area and can fit a table in there too. Dh and I put ours up in the garden a couple of weeks ago (pre-camping season check) and it only took about 30 minutes to pitch it. Having said that, if we were going to go camping for lots of weekend trips (rather than a week or two) we would look for a tunnel tent or something quicker to pitch.

We've had our diablo 600 for 4 years and it's not faring well at all.

The living space is fantastic, but the sloping celings of the bedrooms do make then very small - you can fit a double and a single airbed in as long as you have your heads by the door.

The biggest downside is that it's pitched inner first - sometimes it's just not possible to wait for the rain to stop. The inside gets extremely wet when it's ptched in the rain which isn't a great start to a trip!

The poles are long and it's heavy to get the dome up. As they're bendy poles, it can suffer in bad wind too (we've had some terrible weather on some of our trips!)

Bits have started dropping off ours too - 3 of the tie bits that hold the outer onto the poles have gone in the past 2 trips despite us looking after it well.

We've just upgraded to an Outwell Vemont L and can throughly recommend Outwells.

So the xp is last years model and the dlx is this years ???
I know the xp means they have added an extra pole to the bedroom to make them bigger.
Anyone know what the dlx difference is ?
Have just priced up the tigris and it's coming up just short of £400 for footprint , porch and carpet.
The diablo is £250 for the same so big difference.

lilyloo - we bought our tigris from camping international near horsham (they have a website if you google). We also got the footprint, carpet and porch and I think the package was in the region of £350 - can't remmeber exact amount as we bought other stuff at the same time.

They had a package for the tigris with footprint and carpet but no porch for 279 I think. You could always get the tent footprint and carpet this year and the porch next year.

However if you prefer the diablo as a tent go for that.

We have the Vango Diablo 600 and we've loved it. We bought the footprint (def worth it especially if it rains) as well.

My DH is just over 6feet tall and finds the headroom fine for him (although he always knocks his head on the lantern that's hanging from the centre of the tent!). The bedrooms just about fit a double air bed in them. The living (centre) area is roomy enough for a camping table and 4 chairs.

We take over an hour to put our tent up and we've done it many times. It is a big tent, comes with an inner and an outer. I'd recommend putting it up before you go anywhere, unless you want to get divorced!

On the whole, we love ours
