I want some, but how many do I need?

I'm thinking 6 or maybe 8 and do the main guys?

We were in some awful winds last year and I don't want to have to go out in the rain again and piss about with tensioning.

Do you just do the main ropes or all of them?

4 corner guys and maybe a couple extra to put in on the side where the wind is coming in from.

Hi all,

I hope I am not intruding but it seems some people are finding using the pegs a bit difficult and, frankly, confusing so I have spent some time making a printable instruction sheet for the Delta Pegs which is available as a pdf. here:

www.campingworld.co.uk/Images/Emails/DELTA%20PEG%20INSTRUCTIONS%20FOR%20USE.pdf

It shows the 4 steps to inserting/removing the pegs correctly for maximum security and can be printed and taken with you.

Hope that helps,

Hi just popped in to add my bitGrin.

I wanted to say, if you are using deltas or any other really strong pegs on your porch/canopy beware, in high wind the pegs will stay in for sure but you could still lose your porch due to it shredding.

This happened to us last year in strong wind. I was on my own with the children and was worried about the strength of the wind so foolishly, instead of taking the porch down I pegged it out with big wood pegs.

A few really strong gusts and I was left with the porch in tatters and all the wooden pegs still in the ground. Luckily I managed to untie it[with some help] from my lovely new tent so I didn't loose that aswell.

Please learn from my mistake, don't rely on really good pegs on porches, take them down if it is really windy.Smile.
