I don't possess jogging bottoms. I feel a trip to the hell that is Sportsworld coming on.

Thank you

our most recent bank hol (3 night) trip went like this
ds1 (8yo) - 2 t-shirts
1 pr combats
1 pr shorts
1 fleece
1 pr fleecy pj's

ds2 (5yo, family muck-magnet)
a set of everything for every day plus a spare set kept in the car [grin plys p-j's and a jogging suit and hat for him to sleep in!

me - 1 pr jeans
2 pr jog pants, one of which i sleep in
2 pr pj's
heap of socks and undies

Waterproofs x lots.

Double that lot?

gigglewitch · 14/05/2009 14:29

oh, i forgot, yes i do wear tops
a t-shirt for each day and a fleece for daytime and a warm jumper for night.

Fimbo · 14/05/2009 14:29

Thank you Gigglewitch that is helpful.

So do you wear the jogging bottoms all the time or just round the camp site?

btw Fimbo, places like ASDA, matalan and Peacocks are well stocked with jog pants atm

Fimbo · 14/05/2009 14:31

Jogging bottoms are the bane of my life tbh. I am going to look like someone out of Little Britain, they make you look twice the size you really are, no?

Mmm is this really me I wonder. Dh is so going to say "I told you so".

mostly sleeping and going to & from toilet blocks. Wear 'proper' clothes - jeans mostly for daytime, or combats which will dry easily if the weather is wet. Get a good set of waterproofs - inc trousers, you can't go far wrong.

sassy · 14/05/2009 14:32

Put kids in shorts if if isn't too cold. Wet legs dry easier than trews

Fimbo · 14/05/2009 14:33

I have waterproofs already, I would have taken the coat but not really thought about taking the trousers.

I am not making a good camper so far....

spot on sassy. ds1 lives in shorts from march to October anyway...

Fimbo · 14/05/2009 14:35

Oh my dh lives in shorts too, he would wear them in winter if I didn't shout at him intervene.

mn has a lovely new camping info section!! and take a look at the camping checklist on somewhere like the camping and caravanning club website - i'm going to have a look to see if it's only for members, in which case I might have to email it instead my email's on my profile if you fancy dropping a line.

gigglewitch · 14/05/2009 14:38

c&cc one is rubbish still under construction anyway
look here and here are better, if a tad lengthy

Fimbo · 14/05/2009 14:39

Lovely Gigglewitch thank you so much. Will look at the camping info section and any info you can email would be very appreciated. Will email you no, just before I head off on the school run.
