Camping with a 9 month old

Hi,
We have a 9 month old baby and are planning to spend a month in France camping in mid May to mid June. I've had a bit of a scout around and I think the lowest nighttime temp would be about 10C- what should the little fella sleep in? Any advice much appreciated. I've seen the Vango baby sleeping bag but he's such a wriggler I think he might end up in the bottom of it. Any other top tips for camping with a crawler would be great!
Thanks

we camped with 9mo twins in france, in aug (but not warm!) they used their normal grobags with fleecy blankets under and over for extra warmth. Have fun

Grobags are great, they come in different togs as well, would be fine for that night-time temp. www.bumpto3.com/category.aspx?DISPLAYCAT=sleep&CAT=Products&CATGRY=baby_sleeping_bags

How big is your tent? We took our travel cot for DS when he was this age and put him in a grobag and he was warm as toast.

We take the travel cot, too. Put fleece over the mattress then the sheet. For camping at easter in the UK we used sleepig bag then tucked DD1 into the sleeping bag off the P&T, worked a treat.

Travel cot also quite handy so you don't lose the baby under everthing whilst you unpack etc.!

PS We've found camping with babies/toddlers great fun!

Thanks for the top tips folks. DS normally co sleeps with us so although I 've bought a pop up UV type travel cot for beach I hadn't thought about a playpen type one. My mum suggested a retractable lead & stake

The only problem with co-sleeping is that they tend to roll off the lilo- maybe because they don't have enough weight to hold them down on it, IYSWIM. If you all go to bed at the same time this won't be a problem, but if you want to put the baby down and stay up for a bit, you may find he rolls off the lilo.

Have yet to buy tent but thinking an Outwell Nevada.

Looks like a nice tent.

We have a Vango aspen, we are old-fashioned and like having the double skin!

Any tent with a sig is like a giant playpen! Ours has one, then a porch for the cooking stuff, so the children use the main living space as a playroom.
