Anyone been to keycamp catalonia. We have four under seven. Even the three bed room villas look hot and cramped?? Has anyone stayed at a resort they could recommend?

Last year we stayed in Eurocamp sites which I would assume are very similar - when you say 'villa' do you mean their upmarket type 'caravan'? We originally camped for the first week, but that was very difficult with an active 18 month year old so we upgraded to a mobile home (ie:caravan!!) it was comfortable but very cramped and there are only three of us! The double bed is only 4ft 2ins wide which quite honestly is hopeless for DH & I - we are tall/big, but not obese (yet!) DH ended up sleeping on the floor of the living room area on a mattress - even the convertable bed settee would be too small for most adults. The child's room had three bunks but was very, very tiny.

Generally the facilites and the camp sites are excellent, lots to do, and of course these holidays are good value but, I would hesitate before returning as I did not find it particularly comfortable in the mobile - but I am very fussy - or should I say 'discerning' !!

We went with Keycamp to Brittany last year. We stayed in a Grand 29 3 Bedroomed. It was me, DH and 3 children aged 6, 4 and 2.

Yes, the caravans are cramped, particularly as we are used to a lot of space as our house is large but it didn't bother us in the slightest.

Fortunately we had fab weather, so we ate out in local restaurants or had barbecues. We ate all our meals outside on the patio furniture supplied. We literally used the caravan to sleep in and that was it!

The facilities and campsite was excellent.

We have booked to go again this year - but this time staying in a Grand 34 3 bedroomed, purely because it has an extra bathroom.

Personally, after having a look around the Eurocamp caravans whilst in France, I found the Keycamp ones a lot nicer.

A friend of mine who has 5 children ranging from 3 up to 12 has always done the Keycamp/Eurocamp/Eurosites holidays. She prefers the Keycamp caravans and she manages to get her 5 strapping kids fitted in LOL!
