lol

not that I got to wee in in, but I purchased some biodegradable eco loving nappy liners (look like a giant sanitary towel) to go in my biodegradable bin liner, to go in my bucket.

I so wanted to wee on it, but wasn't given the chance

This is all very well but where do you get rid of it?

Slubberdegullion · 27/06/2008 22:30

I think you could store it in tupperware, take it home with you and use it to pebbledash your house with.

Re-use, Re-something else, Recycle

Bumping for you cos I'd be interested too

Sorry but that is just a gross idea. You will not be able to dispose cat litter at a campsite

Buy a proper camping toilet.

TheHerdNerd · 28/06/2008 09:45

I think you should be able to dispose of it - wee is sterile, after all. Take a biodegradable bin liner with you, bung the litter in there, bob's your uncle.

Our cats use this stuff, which is also biodegradable: www.swheatscoop.com/

Works much better than normal litter.

Apparently the thing to do is line the bucket with a carrier bag, put wood shaving type cat litter in and add wee. In the morning you tie up the bag and take it home (eventually) and add it to your compost heap, which will love it.

I've been looking at this for emergency wees in the night, www.biobags.co.uk/products/BioToi%20V%202.htm and wondered what you'd do with the waste. Would you bring it home and compost it??? I'm new to composting too, so don't know if this would be o.k.

Awaits replies with interest!!!
