Electric hotplate recommendations for camping with a Jackery 500

Can anyone recommend an electric hotplate that can be used with a Jackery 500? I don't like the thought of gas. I'm not exactly sure what 'induction cooking' is or how it's different to electric but if that might be an option that could work too! As fast as possible while being under 500 watts would be great.

Will you definitely have electricity? These require a steady high supply.

Presumably the Jackanory will provide the electricity.

Mind you, I’d just use gas.

What is it about gas you done fancy?

You need to ensure that you have appropriate pans for induction hobs as not all pans work with them.

With only 500 watts to play with the pans are going to have to be small too.

A 500W it will take quarter of an hour to boil a litre of water. Gas will be quicker.

When we go non electric, we take a little gas hob. We save the Jackery for the little fridge cooler and phone charging.

I'm afraid a Jackery 500 is nowhere near powerful enough to power an electric hot plate, either in terms of output wattage or battery storage. It will run you lights, a cool box, a slow cooker for a while and so forth, but a hotplate requires a lot of energy.

Wrong tool for the job.

Just use gas, makes you totally independent and gas lasts a lot longer than you may think.
