Camping Queens A Sunvally 8 or Wolf Lake 7????????????

So during our visit to the mega camping shop we saw a Wolf lake 7 and thought it was the tent for us, my only concern being the configeration of the sleeping bit. The three dc's currently all sleep in together in a 'pod' that's big enough for two single airbeds, with a small gap down the side. In the WL7 they'd have to split up and two dc's in one, dh and I in one and the third dc in one. I'm worried that this could be tricky.

So, I had a look through my lovely Outwell brochure and saw the Sunvalley 8 - same design, it's narrower but deeper. More importantly it's a three and three set up, so the dc's could sleep together with an additional bedroom that fits two for when the get older and don't want to squash in.

Sunvalley is £400, Wolf Lake £800

Sunvalley is nylon, WL polycotton.

DH has concerns about drying out the polycotton, although as I'm a nightmare in the cold he thinks it would be better at staying warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Firstly tell your dh not to worry about drying the polycotton out - I think ours dries more quicker than a nylon one as it 'breathes' so you don't get any condensation. It is heavy though and the bags are huge so unless you ahve a large car / trailer I'd think carefully!

Have you thought about the Norfolk Lake if you want to stick with polycotton- we have 2x3 berth rooms and one 2 berth, that we don't actually use.

It does stay cooler and it's darker in the bedrooms too.

Or an Idaho?

Lucycat - you really are the camping queen.

What we like about these two tents is the awning effect that runs all the way to the floor, I haven't seen any others that have this.

We were thinking that it'd be good for those drizzly days.

Dh has got over his polycotton concerns and we do have a large car, so space isn't a problem.

lol

yes i know what you mean about the front canopy - we use our side canopy from our other tent to give us the same effect - there is a picture on my profile.

Personally I'd go for the Wolf lake but then I'm completely biased
