Please help me to find the perfect BBQ

Hi! I’ve gotten into camping over the last 6 years, having previously hated it. We are slowly building up a nice set up for it. One of the places we go to annually doesn’t allow gas, so a charcoal bbq is pretty much essential. I’ve mainly used disposables because they are so easy and convenient - but obviously you don’t have a huge amount of cooking space so for a bigger group, it isn’t ideal (not to mention it gets expensive).

I bought a freestanding bbq that folds - but because if the wind guard on it, it’s a right faff packing it away and getting it in the car. There’s also no easy way to empty the ashes (I’ve been using a dustpan and brush - happy to hear tips for a better way as it’s too big and heavy to try to lift and pour the ashes out).

So I am wondering if anyone can help me to find the perfect bbq for me please? These are my requirements:

Charcoal
Full height/freestanding (not one of these tiny portable ones, I do have one of those already)
Quick and easy to collapse/fold so it’s easy to get in the car
Easy way to empty the ashes
Not too expensive (I don’t know how realistic this is, so I won’t put a budget as I will save up for it if I do need to spend a bit more)
Easy to clean

Thanks in advance!

I would look at the Weber range of BBQs. I have found theirs to be excellent quality, don't rust, and work well if you follow their instructions.
I also no longer buy cheap charcoal (I use Weber briquettes, although it is expensive.)
I use one of those 'chimney things' (see photo, eventually) start it off.

I second weber. I recently got the weber go anywhere charcoal grill for camping and it's so good. I know you said you didn't want a mini but it fits a decent amount on it and we even use it at home now.

I have a great one. Goes in a bag. Really light.
Legs fold in.

Weber go anywhere is by far the best camping bbq. You can grill and roast on it and can easily dispose of ash or just take it with you . Only drawback in your list is it is low to cook on but you could cook on a metal camping table. Being rectangular it fits in the back seat footwell.

Do you take a power bank? We've bought a single ring induction hob to plug into our jackery. Very low energy usage

Thank you all - Webber is certainly sounding popular!
