OK - we have our much 'ummmmd and ahhhhhhd' about Bongo at long last - Woohoo!!!
After a few years of camping, it will feel like luxury at bedtime!
But......we need a local site to test it out - we havent got our awning yet (roll on payday!) so it will be just one night.
Im thinking Garstang - so, who has been?

Just reyrned from our first night in our Bongo!

The site was a caravan club park, but thank our lucky stars, we were allowed on it, even though we are not members. We had to pay extra though, we weren't allowed to join the club as we didnt have a motorhome as a motorhome, according to section 6, para 8, point 6.6, has to have kitchen facilities to qualify as a motorhome. We also had to make sure we reversed into the allocated pitch and ensure we parked in the exact centre, there were markings to help us and that is rule 14, page 12 para 5. We had a warm welcome from our pitch neighbours, dd waved and they pulled down their blinds, we were NOT aware that waving was against the Caravan Club Code of Conduct
The wind was absoloutly howling and even though the site was very busy, there wasnt a single person to be seen.
So, we set up, went for a long windswept walk, had a KFC and snuggled down with a DVD!!!!
This morning was a bit nicer and we managed to have breakfast and chill out for a while before we had to leave, by 12pm precisely with no exceptions (according to rule 12, page 32, para 5.1!!!!!!)
A little too 'look at our chintzy blinds, would you like another dollap of cauliflower cheese reginald?' for our liking and definately no personality or atmosphere....but then these points may not have been raised in the Annual regional meeting!!!!
