anyone do this or have?
I've been considering it but worried if weather is bad we'll be stuck inside!

Friends of hours spend Christmas and new year away usually remote places and low hit. Remember no such thing as bad weather just wrong clothing

We go all year round but never done Christmas away

My late M&D used to spend the occasional Christmas away in their Moho.
Always founds sites & places that were open.

We don't go away at Christmas, we use the MoHo all year around but stay at home for the festive season.

Do you know what? If it’s either what you want to do or what you are able to do, then do it.

Prep properly, be careful driving and away you go.

God I'd love that, when DH and I are older and it's just us.

I'd want to book a pub meal for Christmas day though!

If it was me I'd go north, try to get some snow.

I think there is such thing as bad weather in a caravan. I saw a bunch of caravans on the weekend who clearly had no power and hadn't for some time. If storms were forecasted would need to know you had enough gas and means of cooking and heating. Other than that i would go!

Although we are not away for Christmas, we are away in the moho next week.

Even if many sites aren't open Christmas week, there is an ever growing trend for pub stops where you can stop overnight in return for eating (and drinking) in the pub.
Don't know how that would work at Christmas when many pubs are enjoying the busiest time of the year and perhaps don't want MoHo's cluttering up the carpark?

We've been away for 2 Christmases at a site with onsite entertainment and swimming pools.

It was really good fun and went to a local Indian restaurant for Christmas day lunch- which I highly recommend.

Annoyingly they have now stopped touring caravans over winter and we don't want to pay the static prices.

We have been away between Christmas and New year on a site with no facilities, but with young kids that was a bit boring after dark.
