SIMS deflating - any tips to fix??

We're off camping this weekend so got all the gear out - SIMS are stored flat in loft so when we got them down I fully inflated them and left them overnight for a test run.

This morning they were both distinctly soft and that's without the pressure of a body on.

Any tips on how to diagnose / fix?!

No obvious hissing / air flow and they're too big to put in a bath and look for bubbles like you'd do with a bike inner tube!

I’d like to bump as I’m having this issue too! I don’t want to put it under water as it’ll get ruined and probs never properly dry!

It's so annoying - we both ended up flat on the floor every morning - they were expensive (I thought at £100+ each) and we only use them max 3 times a year so it's not really acceptable that they've failed already (4 years old I think)

I realised I was using the ‘cyclone valves’ wrongly… is it that?

Seems odd for them all to fail at the same time.

We had this problem. Froth up some washing up liquid on a wet sponge and lather up a section of the inflated SIM. Sit or lay on it. Then watch to see if any of the bubbles are... well.. bubbling! You'll soon see where the air is leaking from.

It could be user error I suppose but they used to work I'm sure?!

What were you doing wrong with your valves??

Interested.

I have two Berghaus double sims, paid a fortune and they won't stay inflated. So frustrating.

We've actually found little difference in comfort between sims staying inflated when new and sims when the seals have gone and the rubber has perished. It seems that the high-density waffle like structure is the main thing which keeps it comfortable.
