Anyone got a seasonal pitch with a tourer?

Thinking of making the move with rising pitch fees etc. I like the idea of not setting up & of course towing.
Do you recommend?

think having a seasonal pitch is worth it if you want a comfortable holiday base to visit often, love a certain area, like familiarity, and don’t mind always having the same neighbours. And, of course as you said, it’s cost effective in the high season.
My DPs have a seasonal pitch in the Peak District at the moment because my DF lost his nerve with towing after an accident. They love the security of always having a place to stay – no last minute campsite bookings or scrambling to find a place to stay if they decide at 5pm on Friday that they feel like getting away. They’ve also made friends with some of the other seasonal pitchers.

Absolutely, we have a seasonal pitch 51 weeks of the year about 1 hours drive from our home. We visit almost every week and was a god send last year as we couldn't travel far due to health issues. Its a simple site but has showers washing up and laundry. It's a 10 minute walk into the nearest lovely town in the Yorkshire dales. Dm is you need more info x

Had a seasonal pitch for many years and it was wonderful when the children were young as you could just drive there with no pitching up to do. The downside is you can be a little bored of the same place year after year. I started to feel the need to explore more as there's such a beautiful uk out there to see. I like the excitement of new places now. Site fees for long term are also much higher now. Have you considered using the Campjng and caravan club temp holiday sites or weekend meets as they are super cheap at around £10 per unit per night and often have activities planned for children to enjoy which keep costs right down.
