Where to stay in a pod this week?

DS (6) and I like camping. He has ASD and learning disabilities and likes being outside. We think National Trust campsites are great - always have good disabled toilets, and often have nice playgrounds, shops, and places to potter around. Also, often beautiful. I like hills.

The campsites need to be quiet - no discos or loud noises, and ideally no dogs or dogs on a lead only.

Our booking at Low Wray for a couple of nights in a pod ticked all my boxes but has just been cancelled because of high winds.

Does anyone have any other suggestions of places with pods, nice high quality facilities, beautiful scenery and open this week? Less than 150GBP for 2 nights.

Of the other NT campsites the only possible one is Waterclose meadows, and we have been there and it was nice (the staff were excellent with DS) but it's not a very exciting place, and no hills.

Anywhere really, the lakes probably as far north as I would want to go, and devon but not cornwall to the south in terms of distance.

Ideas would be very welcome!

We went to Notgrove in the Cotswolds and had a great time, they have lovely little pods, some of them are dog friendly but there weren’t any dogs when we went (I personally think the pods are a bit cosy for a dog too!). It’s a quiet site with a coffee shop and a pub within walking distance, kids play area and games room. Just eight pods so even at capacity it’s not loads of people.

This is very close to where I live, on the doorstep of Hadrian's Wall, and raises money for a very good cause. No idea about availability though. https://henshawhut.wordpress.com/

Thank you everyone, really helpful. We have stayed in a couple of camping and caravanning club sites, I agree, really nice. Do they have a way to search the website for pods? I can't see it but it would be really helpful!

We stayed in a pod (actually like a tiny static caravan) at the Brighton camping and caravanning club, which was nice and quiet and well appointed, but more of a city/seaside break. There are also some lovely glamping options at The Wildings campsite in the Cotswolds.
