Campsite near Mawgan Porth

I am feeling invincible having survived a music festival in the rain with two little folk and now I’m ready to book our first camping holiday as a family.

We hired a tent at the festival but we will be buying our own ahead of our next holiday. Probably an XL air tent.

We’ve decided we want to stay near Mawgan Porth in Cornwall next summer and now we are looking for a very easy, clean campsite for our first time. Do you have any recommendations? If so, please let me know! Children are 3 and 8, and we would like a quiet site (but possibly with some things to do) where we can walk to some places. We’ve been recommended Fforest Fields in Wales and a site like that, but in Cornwall, would be perfect.

Thank you very much in advance from a fledgling camper!

We love Trewan Hall and would definitely describe it as an easy, child-friendly campsite. It has things to keep the dc entertained including a heated pool, playground, library and games room. It also has an on-site shop in case you forget anything, and visiting food trucks if you don’t fancy cooking. In the high season, there’s some evening entertainment but it’s not like loud party music throbbing through the campsite. Instead, the entertainment varies and has included things like a spit roast one evening, a brass band the next, an animal show etc…. It never goes on late because it’s a very family orientated campsite.
