Campsite with shuttle bus to Disney?

Or is this like a mystical unicorn? Looking to do a bit of a tour around France in our converted van and hoped to start with a few days of Disney for the kids (and us!) just wondered if there are and campsites you'd recommend for setting up close by and then having a shuttle in? Thanks!

Great campsite, about an hour or so from Disney, they run coaches to the theme park.

Jablines has a bus stop at the entrance where you can get to Disney - it's about 9km I think, although we always drove ourselves. It's a very simple site, nothing in the way of entertainment, but set in a base de loisirs with huge man-made lake and sandy beach, space to ride bikes, rent canoes. We've stayed in the past in a chalet (did day trips to Paris and Disney) as well as camping, although pitches weren't huge. Facilities very simple but very clean, nice hot showers; small shop on site or supermarket a short drive away. Here

These are great-thank you!

We have stayed at Jablines twice and used the bus. The campsite is quite basic (and pitches quite close), but you don't spend much time there if you are visiting Disney/Paris. Facilities were clean and plentiful.

Ooh just hopping on this as have just been on the Jablines website by coincidence! Do you know what times the buses run? Could you stay for fireworks and then get the bus back to the campsite?

lavenderlou · 11/06/2023 17:59

I remember we left quite late but before the fireworks as kids were small. However there's a link to the timetable on their website and the last bus seems to return at 8 so not that late. You can take your own car if you want to stay late but then you need to pay for the extortionate Disney parking.....

Hidingfromsnacks · 11/06/2023 19:12

Ah thanks! I was looking for the timetable but must have missed it. Maybe we could book a cab back, we don’t want to take a car as we’ll be in our campervan and it’ll be all set up with things. Hmm unless we do try and drive. Are the fireworks at 11?!

fredafreedoma · 11/06/2023 19:31

You used to be able to camp in the car park and use the bathrooms there, have they stopped that now?

Hidingfromsnacks · 11/06/2023 19:36

I think maybe you still can, but we have a load of stuff we’d need to put out of the van before we got our bed out! We’ll be on our way back from a week in Annecy

How high is your campervan? We always parked in the carpark close to the Disney Village, which is about a 5 min walk to the park entrance, but it has a 2.1m height restriction. Looking at reviews, it seems to be 26 euros a day, which is less than the 40 you'd be charged to take a campervan into the main carpark.

The one close to the entrance is called Parking Indigo Chessy, or Parking Indigo Disney Village. You drive past the Newport Bay Hotel, keeping it on your right, and the car parks are at a roundabout at the top. We found it by chance the first time we went and always used it thereafter (used to leave a picnic in the car and one of us would go and fetch it at lunchtime - there was a picnic area at the Disney park entrance, but don't know if it's still there - never saw anyone else using it Grin)

Thank you! I missed these replies. Our van is 2.9m so a bit high for that one you mentioned. I didn't realise you could drive them into the Disney car parks-I'll research that now too thank you!

We’re going this summer and staying in the Disney car park overnight. Think daytime parking is 30 euro and to stay overnight is only 15 euro more. Perfect for after fireworks

You can try Country Park Paris, they offer a shuttle bus to Disneyland Paris during the summer months, it's perfect to save on the very expensive parking ticket !
