Calor are no longer going to supply small gas bottles

Just a heads up if you use the smallest size gas bottles for camping or in your caravan. From February, Calor will no longer be supplying the smallest gas bottle sizes in propane or butane. That’s the 4.5 Kg and 3.9 Kg ones. They will be also withdrawing the lightweight bottles too.

I bought a Safefill for me caravan. Expensive to buy but lightweight and very cheap to refill.

I can't see any mention of this on the Calor website?

I can't see any mention of this on the Calor website?

Calor announces plan to streamline its cylinder range to improve customer service
From 1st February 2023, the Cube, 3.9kg Propane, 4.5kg Butane, 6Lite Propane and 12kg Butane will be discontinued. This means that customers
won’t be able to buy new cylinders or exchange existing cylinders of these sizes for a refill.
Rogerio Lopes, Calor’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “Improving our cylinder experience is a priority for us as we enter 2023. The legacy of the pandemic has had a significant impact on our supply chain, operations, and our ability to provide a reliable service to our cylinder customers. The complexity of our existing range prevents us from improving the service. Therefore, we’ve taken the difficult decision to streamline our cylinder range, but it is necessary to simplify the business to improve overall reliability and availability to our customers.”

Thanks for that I looked a few days ago but didn't find it.
I would have thought thats a massive loss of business?

I use Campingaz because their bottles are more compact anyway, but it is more expensive, and there were supply issues for a while.

Apparently FloGas do the smaller bottles.

Need to check whether a different regulator is needed to change gas.
