Do I need a kitchen??

Stop me .. I've gone from a 3 person big standard tent to a 6 person air tent, double fold out table and 4 chairs and now I'm eye up a foldable kitchen 🤷🏼‍♀️ fml this is turning into a massive obsession! It looks fabulous but do I really need it?? I have stove, need a table and somehow I've been led down a rabbit hole to a kitchen.

All depends how much you want to cook!

We (4 people) usually camp for 3 nights, and have some kind of bring from home meal the first night (chilli/spag bol/fajitas) - 2 rings needed, max.
Cooked breakfast on 2 mornings (bacon rolls one day, eggy bread the other) - one ring needed.
BBQ one night - we have a camping BBQ, but also use 2 rings for things like onions/potatoes.
Pub meal or chippy the 3rd night.
Obviously we boil a kettle outside of this, but never need to use the kettle at the same time as doing any of this.

We have a big plastic crate to store pans, crockery etc in, a small 'tool box' for cutlery/utensils, and it's never caused us any issues.

So we manage just fine with 2 rings (a party grill and a basic 1 ring stove). We have a low table to put them on, works fine. Easy to pack, easy to store, easy to use, easy to deal with on site. No faff at all.

If you want to create elaborate meals or maybe if you're staying for ages then maybe the more formal 'order' a kitchen would bring might be worth it, but I like to keep things very simple when camping (and less to sort out at either end).

You don't need one, but when we were still tent camping (before the MH) the folding kitchen unit from Aldi was brilliant. No more cooking at ankle height, and somewhere to keep the crockery.

I've been Googling all sorts ..! I have a two ring stove, I've got the pots pans and kettle etc, moving on every 3-4 days 5 stops in all (so far) your box idea sounds far more sensible

We have one and it’s great to store all the food in as well as having the stove on top. It is another “thing” to take with but I think it helps.

We have one but don't store food in it. It's basically like a tall table with shelves, but we also keep plates etc in a box, and cutlery in another box on the shelves (helps with packing up). We camp for 5+ weeks though, so cook quite a bit. We store food in 2x really useful boxes. A table does the job just as well and is much quicker to put up. There is a knack to our kitchen, or you could lose a few finger tips. I find it easier to put up and away, with it laying on its side.
