Taking Food to France?

Hoping to go to France next week. In the past we have always taken some food with us - milk for the journey and lots of walnuts and brazil nuts. Does anyone know whether this is still permitted since we have truly now left the EU? Any knowledge would be really appreciated.

We have just returned from a trip to France in our caravan, via the tunnel. We had food in our fridge, but nobody asked to even look in the caravan in either direction

(even on the way back, when there could have been a refugee in there, Customs just asked us “what were you doing in the Dordogne”….I just pointed to the canoes on the car roof 🤣🤣🤣.)

I am also on a motorhome forum and the food question gets asked regularly…no one seems to get their fridges checked, although I guess there is also the chance you can be.

Have you checked the prices? I've always found French supermarkets fairly good for pricing, obviously not specifically English products but more generally. Cashews are about €13 a kg it seems for instance, my French isn't the best so no idea what Brazil nut or walnut is!

Walnuts here in France are €26 a kilo , £15 per kilo at home.
