Early morning wakers

We used to go camping quite regularly when DS was younger. We were put off a bit by a campsite owner (who also had a DC the same age) asking me to keep DS quieter, as we walked from the loo block back to our tent as it was only 7.30am. He was quietly chatting to me, not running or pushing some noisy ride on toy or anything.

Anyhoo, we're considering camping over the longer Jubilee bank holiday, and his DSis is 3.5 and also tends to be an early riser - stirring from about 5.15 onwards and awake for the day about about 6.30. Any tips from fellow campers to help keep her occupied and quiet before 8am would be greatly appreciated. I'm paranoid that other campers would be grumbling at the first squeak.

Just to stress we would pitch up away from adult-only groups etc. so reduce obvious disturbance.

No tips but I remember hering the tent zip at 6am ... by the time I was up all I could see was DS little legs still in the tent.
By the time I was able to go after him he was running half way down the path still wearing his ligh blue dinosaur PJ's!
He was 4 at the time and all he wanted was playing on the playground.

Please don't worry about other campers, they will give two hoots about your DS sleeping wher they start their party at 8.30pm!

Oh god @Ylvamoon don't tell me that. DD is a mountain goat in a way DS really wasn't. She's going to let herself out to feed the ducks before we're awake isn't she? (makes plans to sleep in front of door)

I have no tips at all but when my three were little, they all woke very early and would be up around 6am however late they went to bed. We sometimes got sites with heated shower blocks and managed to spend quite a bit of time in there getting washed etc without disturbing anyone. They all learned that they had to be very quiet.

Middle DS had three or four years of very early rising and my DH used to do the early morning shift (as he found it easy to go back to sleep after breakfast and once i'm up I'm up) and went on many pre-dawn walks with DS either in the back pack or buggy desperately trying to get him back to sleep. Never worked but they both saw some beautiful sunrises and lots of wildlife.
