Five nights with an 18mo - what do I need?

We go away next week for five nights to the south coast. It's going to be warm, I think!

I'm a seasoned camper, just not with a baby in tow 🙃 so I have a full list of normal essentials but now trying to work out what might make my life a little easier with my DD. We have a large tent and she will be in with us (might put the centre sheet up to separate into two rooms but not sure that will make a difference).

Have already purchased a small paddling pool to use both as a paddling pool and a bath in the evening.

What else might I need? What have you discovered that is a game-changer? Apart from throwing all idea of routine out the window...

This is my standard list - obviously I have not listed the tent, air bed, table and cupboard that we take...

And this is my normal DD packing list.

You may be able to tell that I like a spreadsheet.

Do the zips up with the zippers at the top out of reach to prevent early morning escape.

Don’t take pots of bubbles / bubble machine. Detergent affects tent waterproofing and everyone will hate you.

Ear plugs

Use insect repellent from early evening onwards.

@UpTheJunktion

Thank you! Didn't know that about bubbles!

A torch and first aid kit in case.

Yes - great shouts - thank you! Head torches are on the list but an actual first aid kit would be good.

I would put a toddler in a travel cot & then use as play pen when cooking.

Otherwise you seem to have a lot of stuff there you probably won't need. It's going to take ages to set up and take down camp.

I'd take flexitub rather than paddling pool. You can use for shoes during the day & bath in the evening.
