Bonfire Night Camping

Not sure how much traffic this thread will get out of season. DC have come out with an idea that they'd like to go camping for the weekend of bonfire night.

Does anyone have any recommendations for campsites in the Midlands/Yorkshire/Lancashire that are close to a good fireworks display, allow campfires and have EHU.

We'd only go for the night of Saturday 2nd November and with good sleeping bags etc. we can stay warm. I think DC have a romantic idea of sitting outside the tent, campfire going, wrapped up warm and watching a fireworks display.

All suggestions very gratefully received!

This one might be a bit too far north but it’s lovely herdinghillfarm.co.uk/halloween-event.html

Humble bee camp site are actually having a bonfire event so could be worth a shop.

Your a brave lady.

Sounds great!

I don’t know any sites in the area but you could try Pitch Up or Cool Camping with a date search and the campfire filter.

I would be a bit wary of being very close to a display because of debris from falling fireworks making holes in the tent.

But campfire, sausages, sparklers sounds great.

Make sure you are very well insulated from the ground in the tent.

Thanks all (and sorry for such a late reply).

Both of those sites look great and even if we don't brave bonfire night they are definitely on my list for future camping trips.

Just keeping an eye on the weather now - I think it'll be a last minute decision.
