Decathlon air beds?

I tried the - seemingly - very comfy double "Air Basic Inflatable" airbed at Decathlon last weekend and it felt great, and is only £17.99.

Anyone have it/tried it?

I wonder if this a case of 'nice price buy twice' or if it is halfway decent for a few nights camping this summer.

Potentially we may put thin roll up futons on top, to make it more sturdy.

I'm a single parent on an extremely tight budget camping with 3 kids so any fancy Vango SIMS at 90 quid a pop won't do me, but I would greatly welcome any sound advice/other cheap but not rubbish tried and tested camping sleeping options!

TIA

We've been using these and they are comfy but have had at least a couple burst on us. This year we're trying out the decathlon sims - not the cheapest ones but the ones that here in Spain cost €40. First night on them tonight.

love camping but never enjoy a sleep on an air bed - absolutely hate them, always uncomfortable by morning

Can't beat a camp bed in my opinion, far more comfy

We had two and one burst. I've had the cheap argos ones and they've lasted well.

Probably fine for the kids - not a massive of fan of airbeds though as have always endedup with leaks

I woudl be tmpeted to get the kids foam mats - they dont really need the padding :)

and get yourself something like this
www.gooutdoors.co.uk/15905703/outwell-dreamcatcher-single-5cm-self-inflating-sleeping-15905703

for the kids insulation is more of a priority so if you put pcinic rug underneath tehn cheap fleece blankets on top then them and sleeping bags and maybe have more blanets just in case! they'll be fine..
focus on your comfort/sleep as you will need it... (I love camping with DC just it is tiring)
