Lake District campsite recommendation

Looking to go camping over the August bank holiday weekend & would love to go to the Lake District as it's an area of England I've not really explored. Therefore any recommendations for family friendly campsites that are within walking distance of pub / town / village and a good place to explore the area would be much appreciated! TIA!

Rydal Hall near Ambleside.
Walkable to pub and shops.
Lovely campsite.
Central location.

Definitely Rydall Hall. Great location, best shower toilet blocks of any campsite. Good walks. Short walk into town.

Fisherground Campsite is right in the heart of Eskdale on the West side of the Lake District. It’s an area that is unspoilt by tourism and there are some lovely scenic walks from the site.
For children there is a rafting pond and a large adventure playground with a zip wires, Tarzan ropes and a tree house. The site also has direct access to its own station on the Ravenglass & Eskdale Minature Railway. If you have little ones it is worth every penny as a ticket buys you unlimited use for the day. It is 7 miles long and connects with Ravenglass mainline station.
Eskdale has an excellent village shop and a child friendly pub with a children’s menu and a games room.

Thank you all! I'll look at those and fingers crossed they have availability for the bank holiday weekend!
