Camping whilst pregnant!

Hello everyone, I am going camping in August it's a yearly thing we do, we already have two beautiful girls aged 10 and 5 but I've never camped whilst pregnant before.
I'll be six months when we go, is there anything besides the usual stuff you'd take that I'd need? Lots of pillows and snacks is what I've read online so far but we'll be at a festival in VIP camping, so I can't imagine food or drinks being on short supply. Haha.

Any advice or stories shared would be grately appreciated.

Thank you! Smile

I camped at 6 months, three essentials for me. Camping toilet for your tent for those numerous night time no 1’s. Pregnancy friendly bug spray. Camping chair that you find comfortable

A she wee or some other receptacle you can see into without walking outside. The constant weeing nearly broke me even when I was in my own bed.

8 months pregnant and camping at the moment. Pack bucket / loo, and rennie. Lots of pillows and something nice to drink for when everyone else has beer.

I camped at 6 months pregnant. I took my pregnancy pillow, which definitely helped me feel less achy in the morning.

Make sure you've got easy access to a toilet.

On about day 3 I completely crashed. Camping is tiring anyway (normally in a good way!) but add in pregnancy tiredness and it was a whole other story. I spent the whole day in my tent alternating between sleeping and reading my book!

I camped at 7 months.

We made sure to get a pitch near to the loo block for middle of the night dashes (in hindsight, I should have bought a Shewee).

Inflatable mattress is essential.

Pillows are also essential. Plus pregnancy support pillow if you have one. Inflatable mattresses only support you so far (and your centre of gravity will be off), so you'll probably want extra pillows/support for your bump even if you don't use them at home.

Decent foldable chair.

Decent drinks. Bottle(s) of water.

Snacks.

Ear plugs. It's hard enough trying to sleep when pregnant anyway, but add in wind/rain/loud campers/music and it'll be miserable. I speak from bitter experience.

Waterproof jacket that fits (I borrowed my husbands spare - no need to buy 'maternity' if you don't have to - just make sure it can zip up)!
