Best camp bed for bad back?

My DH has a really bad back. We’re going camping later this summer and he’ll be in a rotten mood the whole trip if his back hurts from the (bad) night’s sleep I’m afraid we might end up having!

What’s the best camp bed for a bad back?

My sympathies...I have a bad back and hip and we have tried all sorts. You'll need electric hook up but get a double height queen size aerobed. They have an electric self pump and are obviously higher off the ground. Not that cheap but last and are great. I also take an electric blanket as cold makes it much worse.

If no hook-up then I'd stay somewhere else tbh having tried various! If all else fails a good self inflating mattress is better than cheap air beds which deflate and aren't suitable for two people.

Here's the link... AeroBed Unisex Luxury Collection Raised Airbed Indoor Air Bed, Beige, 188 X 137 X 56 Cm https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0761YXSN8/ref=cmswwrcppapiii_AHi3CbANY82GE

My dp goes fishing a lot and bought this one recently. He says he has an amazing sleep on it and he hasn't had any flare ups of sciatica which used to happen a lot on his trips.

I have an outwell posadas folding camp bed with a 7.5cm SIM on top. Luckily, I don't have bad back problems, but I find this combination as comfortable (maybe even more comfy actually) as my "home" bed.

this is brilliant
As a seasoned Scout Leader I’ve gone through many camp beds, trying to find something comfortable. Following recommendations form a FB camping page I brought this bed from decathalon. You do need to buy the frame and SIM separately but is well worth it. I actually sleep really well on this. (Im size 18 so not light weight but this copes with my size well!)

^^ the decathlon one above with a sim on top. It's brilliant.

Another vote for the Decathkon base and SIM - although I inflated my SIM too much the first night so it was too hard. Deflated it a bit the next day and it was great.

We've got thermostat dreamtime SIMS, they are a thick SIM with memory foam topper. Ultra comfy, almost like a bed at home. I see that they are now eye wateringly expensive and that the SIM bit is thinner. The thermarest mondoking also looks good..
