Hello, we are a young family of four, (4 and 6 year old) We went to centre Parcs last year and absolutely loved it, but we are now thinking of going on our first ever holiday abroad as a family this summer, someone suggested Eurocamp to us, saying it's similar. Has anyone been with them before? What countries and camp sites do you reccomend? how did you find it ? Is it easy to do? Just looking for advice really. Thanks :)

There are also other companies such as Vacansoleil, Al Fresco, Canvas, Saydaya and many more. You can also find your site and then book direct. Mobile homes, ready tents and chalets all possible. France is definitely a good place to dip the toe in the water. We did this 10 years ago and haven't looked back. The roads, food and wine are great and the weather is usually good if you head south - below Loire Valley. Chateau Marais (Loire) and Chateau Drancourt (Somme) are two I would recommend for a first trip - not too far to drive and good facilities. There are hundreds to choose from. Think about how far you want to drive, if you want to be near the beach or a lake, near a city or attraction, walking distance of a town, etc. If you want to head further south or west then it's easy and cheap to book a stopover at a budget motel. Bon voyage!

Eurocamp accommodation can be of poor standard I would find a park you like and book direct with the park. Duinrell is fab.

We love Eurocamp, kids are always super happy. Weekend in Italy is good with small children as it’s not a big site and loads to do on Lake Garda. For mountains the Lauterbrunnen site is hard to beat for waking up to spectacular views out of the safari tent! That one is a bit more camping and less glamping though. In France one of our favorite sites is called Esterel. The Eurocamp accommodation there is fairly rubbish BUT it’s amazingly cheap and mostly clean at least, so we put up with the shabbiness as the park itself is really nice and close to loads of fun places for exploring. The drive along the coast to Cannes never gets old.

My absolute favorite glampsite I’ve ever been to is a Yelloh village site on Corsica called Le Campoloro. They have fab accommodation literally right on the beach and the pools are lovely as well. L
